Meticulously crafted from back to brace, joint to jamb, this hand-finished chest of drawers needs little description beyond the word "wow." Pristinely matched to enhance the curly grain of the burl ash veneer, each side, edge and face of the piece is custom detailed by hand. Individual rosette-and-ring hardware is flame set in antique brass before being custom fitted to each dovetail-joined drawer. Muted keyhole escutcheons are pencil sanded and finger smoothed to ensure a careful, burr-free finish. And thoughtful details, like echoing the style of the upper drawer apron in the drop-fronted base molding and raised, banded lip, reinforce the cohesion of artistry and architecture, deliberateness and design.
